I’ve spent my career helping organizations grow — sometimes faster than they thought possible. As Chief HR Officer at Nation’s Best, I helped scale from 12 to 64 locations and from 100 to over 1,200 employees in just four years. I built HR from the ground up, turning people chaos into clarity.

But I’ve also seen what happens when growth outpaces intention. That’s why I started Phoenix People Partners — to help leaders build sustainable systems, grounded in purpose, that actually unlock performance instead of burning people out.

Amber Little is a seasoned Chief People Officer and leadership advisor known for scaling organizations with equal parts strategy, clarity, and heart. Over the past decade, she has helped companies move from chaos to cohesion — most notably guiding Nation’s Best through an explosive growth journey from 12 to 64 locations and from 100 to more than 1,200 employees in just four years. Amber built the HR function from the ground up, transforming ambiguity into alignment and helping leaders grow as fast as the business.

She is also the founder of Phoenix People Partners, a boutique consultancy dedicated to helping organizations scale with intention, clarity, and humanity. With extensive experience guiding high-growth companies through complexity, Amber is known for bringing structure to chaos, coaching leaders through pivotal transitions, and building systems that elevate both performance and wellbeing.

During her tenure as Chief Human Resources Officer at Nation’s Best, Amber played a central role in the company’s rapid expansion.
