Progress vs. Perfection

Perfection was my badge of honor.
Turns out, it was also my biggest bottleneck.

I used to believe perfection was my superpower.
Every slide, report, or email had to be flawless. Fonts aligned, every word just right.

I thought it looked like dedication.
But really, it was slowing me down… and keeping me from helping my team or delivering value fast.

I’ve learned that every extra hour spent polishing is an hour I’m not:
~Helping a teammate who’s stuck
~Getting something out quickly to move our organization forward
~Protecting my own energy so I don’t burn out

Now, I aim for high-quality, good enough—not sloppy, but done.
Because “good enough” and on time creates more impact than “perfect” that arrives too late to matter.

💡 Good enough doesn’t mean careless. It means smart, focused, and ready to deliver value.
💡The better question isn’t “Is it perfect?”...it’s “Is it ready to make a difference?”
